Ergonomic Worksite Safety Program
Comply with the new Federal and Cal-OSHA's ergonomic standard. A program
is required if you've had more than one employee diagnosed with a Repetitive
Motion Injury (RMI) in the last 12 months. The plan requires evaluation,
training and control of exposures that have caused the RMI.
Ergonomic Worksite Evaluation
Repetitive Motion Injuries (RMI) currently cost California employers on
an average of $23,000 per claim and result in an average of 23 lost workdays.
RMI's are an expensive issue for all employers and medically serious and
potentially disabling injury for employees. One of the most effective ways
to combat RMI's
is to stop them before they ever start. Ergonomic Worksite Evaluations
can provide employers with the information that they need to redesign jobs
and
to train employees and managers in how the job can be done more safely.
We can perform these evaluations in your office or manufacturing facility.
Using
the NIOSH lifting standards and equation, we provide you with a complete
analysis of the job with recommendations for improvement.
SB 198 - Injury and Illness Prevention Plans
Whether you have an existing plan that needs updating or need an original
plan, we can bring you into compliance with the Cal-OSHA requirements for
Injury and Illness Prevention Plans (IIPP). This service includes an on-site
inspection, review of worker's compensation injuries as well as interviews
with key managers. The plan includes the development of job classes and
hazard evaluations for each job class. An appendix is included and contains
all of
the forms necessary to implement your IIPP including inspection checklists,
training sign-in sheets and employee postings.
Bloodborne Pathogen Plans
If you have designated first aid responders or if your employees are at
risk for exposure to blood or bodily fluids at work, you must have a written
Bloodborne pathogen plan and program. This plan includes reporting systems,
forms, and vaccination protocols.
Safety Walkthroughs
Want a professional to conduct a safety walkthrough and document your hazards?
An effective component of any safety program is regular inspections, although
many times they are forgotten. Let us do your inspection for you.
Non-Structural Hazard Walkthrough
Those of us in earthquake country know the importance of periodically assessing
our space to determine hazards. Let us do a non-structural hazard walkthrough
of your facility and give you recommendations of ways to improve your work
environment.
Hazardous Material Business Plan
All California counties require that businesses that generate hazardous
waste and store hazardous chemicals complete a Hazardous Materials Business
Plan Registration (Title 22, Chapter 6.5). Each county's plan requirements
differ. All counties require emergency procedures, record keeping, detailed
maps of the facility, and training for staff working with these materials.
We can write a detailed plan that will bring your business into compliance
with State and Local requirements.
Worker-Right-To-Know
Employers are required to inform all workers of the chemicals that they
work with and the potential hazards. These must be accomplished through
a written plan and effective employee training. We design Worker-Right-To-Know
plans and companion training programs.
