Floor Warden Training: Designed to educate your Emergency
Response Team members on the rationale of basic emergency procedures. The
focus is on responsibilities
of the ERT members, site-specific emergency procedures, and a discussion
of the life safety features of the building.
Two-hour course: $495
for up to 30 people.
Earthquake Preparation At Home & At Work: The emphasis
of this class is on planning for an earthquake through assembly of emergency
supplies, food
and water, mitigation of non-structural hazards, and familiarity with utility
shut off switches.
One-hour course: $395
for up to 30 people.
The Earthquake Game: This interactive class provides
a unique opportunity for students to address prioritizing and decision-making
issues surrounding
earthquake preparedness in the workplace. Students are presented with a
disaster scenario. They are trapped in the building and asked to prioritize
their actions,
and determine what supplies are most essential. After problem solving individually
and in-groups, students compare their decisions with the experts.
Two-hour course: $495 for up to 30 people.
Fire Safety: This class discusses fire safety
at home and work emphasizing prevention, causation, survival techniques, and
evacuation & relocation
procedures.
Two-hour course: $495 for up to 30 people.
Urban Search And Rescue: The objective is to familiarize
the student with the basic skills, procedures and techniques used when searching
for trapped
co-workers. The format includes assessment of a disaster environment, the
capabilities and limitations of the lay rescuer, organization of the rescue
effort, search techniques, as well as lifting and moving debris and victims.
Two-hour course: $495 for up to 30 people.
First Response First Aid: The primary focus is
on immediate care for major life-threatening emergencies assuming that 9-1-1
is available. Can also
be combined with a CPR
course.
One-hour course: $395 per 30 people.
First Aid & Emergency Care: Students learn needed
critical emergency care techniques before help arrives. The course covers the
priorities of first aid,
wounds, poisoning, burns, shock, head injuries, and sudden illness.
Two-hour course: $495 per 30 people.
Fundamental First Aid: This class focuses on priorities
of first aid in life-threatening emergencies: bleeding, poisoning, burns, shock
and practice with dressings and
splints. It concludes with interactive, decision-making scenarios and a test.
Students who pass the course receive a three-year course completion card.
Four-hour course: $38 per person + $5 per book.
Triage First Aid: Students learn to set priorities
when dealing with more than one victim and review the basic first aid techniques
for treating life-threatening
emergencies. The lecture is followed by a unique opportunity for students to
exercise their knowledge of first aid and triage through participation in disaster
simulations. Students who pass the course receive a three-year course completion
card.
Four-hour course: $38 per person + $5 per book.
Disaster First Aid: This course combines Fundamental
First Aid techniques with Triage First Aid. Simulated disasters provide students
with an opportunity to
experience first hand the conflicts and chaos of disaster first aid, and how
to win confidence in his or her ability to rise to the challenge. Students who
pass the course receive a three-year course completion card.
Five-hour course: $48 per person + $5 per book.
All courses have a minimum enrollment of ten & are held on site at your facility.
