EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT BLOG
The EMSS blog was born on April 25, 2009 and was originally focused on the emerging Influenza Pandemic. Originally called H1N1 Swine Flu Pandemic Influenza News, the blog was acknowledged by the International Association of Emergency Managers in November 2010 with two first place awards. These two First Place Awards were in the Commercial/For-Profit Organization (Division 3) category Public Awareness Awards. This tribute recognizes outstanding public awareness programs or public education products related to emergency management, homeland security and/or disaster preparedness.
In December 2010, the blog morphed into an “all purpose” emergency management blog, posting timely information of the issues of the day. Bookmark the site and come back and visit us often.
