Kelly Williams










 



 
  Kelly Williams is a senior consultant whose broad business and information technology background provides him with a unique perspective on all aspects of business continuity and disaster recovery planning. As a Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the financial services industry, Williams led efforts that encompassed all aspects of business continuity and disaster recovery planning, regulatory and legal compliance (including leading a first-year SOX compliance effort), information security, and emergency response.

Kelly was the co-founder and president of Business Recovery Solutions, an independent consultancy that provided business continuity planning, as well as high-risk project management assistance and other risk mitigation services. Prior to that, Williams created and led Visa's first dedicated business continuity and disaster recovery team, which included comprehensive technical recovery plans for an information infrastructure that incorporated four major data centers and spanned three continents. Williams spent several years on active duty in the United States Army. His last post was with the White House Communications Agency, a joint services team responsible for all aspects of communication support to the President of the United States and key members of the Executive Branch, including the National Security Advisor. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco, a Masters of Business Administration degree from San Jose State University, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Concord Law School.
